This information is important reading for all members of BoB Global. You are urged to review this material closely and are required to read the policy sections.


BoB PHILOSOPHY

Success in BoB means you need to be a positive and supportive member of an organization based upon mutual support. This requires commitment to your fellow members as well as to the philosophy of Givers Gain®: by giving business to others, you will get business in return.

CODE OF ETHICS

Followed by members:

  1. I will provide the quality of services at the prices that I have quoted.
  2. I will be truthful with the members and their referrals.
  3. I will build goodwill and trust among members and their referrals.
  4. I will take responsibility for following up on the referrals I receive.
  5. I will live up to the ethical standards of my profession.
  6. I will display a positive and  supportive attitude with BoB members.

  

GENERAL POLICIES

  • Only one person from each profession or      classification is permitted to join a group of BoB. Leadership of      each group have final authority relating to classification conflicts.


  • Members must represent their primary occupation, not a part-time business.
  • The biweekly meetings last for 120 minutes. Members need to arrive on time and stay for the entire meeting.
  • An individual member cannot be in any other group that allows only one person per profession and  whose primary purpose is to pass referrals to one another, because it  substantially reduces their commitment to the group embers. Membership Committees must enforce this policy.
  • Attendance is critical to the group. If a member cannot attend, they may send a substitute (not a member of their own group) to the meeting.
  • This will not count as an absence. A member is allowed three absences in any rolling six month period. More than this and the member is subject to removal by the Chapter's Leadership Team
  • Members are required to bring referrals and/or visitors to their group  of BoB groups may establish a minimum number of referrals and/or visitors      that is acceptable to maintain membership.
  • Visitors may attend group meetings up to two times/
  •  Speakers must bring a door prize. Only members bringing  a visitor or a referral are eligible for the door prize.


  • It is the member's responsibility to file a concern   with the Membership Committee of their group if a visitor in any way  conflicts with their classification. This should be done before the visitor is approved for membership. If there are no complaints, the Membership Committee will 'assume their consent'.
  • Members who wish to change their classification must submit a new membership application and obtain approval from the group      leadership for that classification change.
  • In case of problems with a member, Group Leadership may, at their sole discretion, put a member on probation relating to the member's business practices or commitment to the group
  • Memberships may be revoked for failure to comply with   the policies and/or the Code of Ethics of BoB. Group leadership of any  group may revoke memberships. 
  • If the Leadership Team fulfills all responsibilities throughout their term, then they will receive compensation for their fees. The Leadership Team must agree to the terms outlined in  the Leadership Team Agreement in order to hold a position and must go through training before participating.
  • BoB Membership lists are for the purpose of 'giving' referrals and not for soliciting (via e-mail, direct mail or other means)     BOB members without their prior approval.
  • All new members must attend the Member Success  Program in their region within the first 60 days of joining. Only      after attending the training may the new member be added to the 'speaker      rotation' for that group. Any new members not attending the training      within 60 days of induction into the group, will be subject to having      their classification opened by the Membership Committee.


  

ADMINISTRATIVE POLICIES


  • · There is an initial registration fee. Fees are paid annually,
  • · Fees can be paid by bank transfer 
  •  BOB Global may establish groups in any community with people interested in developing a referral-based business.
  • In addition, BoB reserves the right to open more than one GROUP per community.
  • · Membership fees are payable 7 days prior to the due date.If fees are not paid the member will be officially dropped by BOB Global head office
  • · Fees are non-refundable.
  • · Fees cannot be transferred from one person to another unless the fees were paid by the same company
  • · .A member requesting a transfer from their current group to a new chapter will be required to submit a completed new member application to the Membership Committee of the new group.

  • Pass Referrals: Visitors say  what has impressed them most about the meeting.
  • Announcements and reminders eg. Workshops, chamber meetings in the area, committee meetings, etc.
  • Door prize draw: for members bringing visitors or referrals. The speaker(s) brings the door prize(s).
  • Close meeting. Conduct visitor  orientation and new member orientation.


  

Visiting BoB GROUPS

  • Members visiting other BoB  Groups should announce that they are from another BoB GROUP
  • Visiting members must not do or  say anything that competes with a member of that group
  • The BoB group should be cautious in giving referrals to individuals they don't know, including      visiting members.
  • Visiting members should pay for  their own breakfast.
  • Before visiting another group,the visiting member should call the group Leadership team or regional director first.
  • A visiting member should visit on the same basis as a regular visitor, i.e. no more than twice.

  

Multi-Level Marketing

  • Multi-level marketing members of BoB should represent their products and services and not the business      opportunity element of their business.

PRIVACY

The privacy policy below only applies by law to the EU and other EEA countries. However, because BoB Globaloperate in other countries outside of the EU and EEA (including but not limited to Canada, the USA, New Zealand and India) we ensure the same level of protection to BoB members in those countries too.


SIA BoB Latvia  guarantee that we will never sell or rent your personal data.


When you sign up and pay by card or apply online without a card to become a member of a BoB Global Group your personal data will be added to the global database that is owed by SIA BoB Latvia and who is the Data Controller. Your data is also automatically shared exclusively with with no more than one of the companies listed below who operate the BoB groups/s that you are a member of and that company is both the Data Controller and Data processor for only those groups. If you apply to join a club and pay online by credit or debit card your personal data including your card details are automatically shared with PayPal. However,SIA BoB Global nor any of the companies listed below see nor store any card details as this is only used by PayPal in conjunction with the card issuer (ie: a bank). SIA BoB Latvia is all covered by PayPal's PCI compliance policy. If you apply by completing a paper application form, or you have already supplied your data directly to one of the companies listed below, prior to joining, the person or company below, that operates the BoB global that you are joining/linked with will then become the data controller of your personal data.  That company will immediately and automatically share your personal data via the global database with SIA BoB Latvia

Currently the only 3rd party company who can access our database and back office systems is Goddady who are our web development company and we have non disclosure agreement in place with that company  


How we obtain your personal data

As in the case of the majority of members, you will have entered your own personal data when you applied to become a member online.You may have filled in a paper application form that was given to you or you downloaded from our website

If you applied in this way your data will have been manually input by one of the above companies awho are the Data Controller and automatically shared with Business over Breakfast Global the owner and Data Controller of the Global database.

You have no doubt joined your BoB group to promote your business to other members of your club, to people they know or meet with a view to you gaining referrals from those members and non members to do this you agree that you consent to us doing the following:

Display the information you have provided on the BoB websites.We also allow members to add their business cards to the members only card box that is made availble at each BoB group meeting and you understand and agree that: By adding your business card/s you are giving permission to anybody who has access to the cardbox to take your card and if they so wish add your details to their system and/or pass your card or your details onto anybody they meet or contact who they believe may wish to contact you for legitimate reasons. Should you not agree to this please do not add your business cards to the members only card box

How long will you keep my data after I resign or I am deleted from the BoB website?

We will keep your personal data up to 1 year

Please note that when we delete you as a member  any business cards that you may have placed in the card box/es at the BoB Group/s that you were a member will be removed and destroyed

Why do you need to keep my personal data for up to1 year?

We keep your data for this long so that we can provide you with meeting receipts and/or invoices for 1year  after you we deleted from the BoB website and we have to by law keep business records for this long

Can I request that my personal data is permanently deleted sooner than 1 year after I leave the BoB group I was a member of?

Certainly, just send an email office@bobbaltic.com requesting to be removed, clearly stating your full name, company, your email address and the club you were a member of and we will permanently remove your personal data within 30 days. However, by deleting you all your meeting receipts and membership invoices will also be permanently deleted

Should we receive a data request from any law enforcement agency, court, regulator, government authority or other third party where we believe this is necessary to comply with a legal or regulatory obligation.


Your rights

In preventing the use or processing of your personal data, it may delay or prevent us from fulfilling our contractual obligations to you. It may also mean that we may be unable to provide our services or process the cancellation of your membership.


You have the right to object to our use of your personal data, or ask us to delete, remove or stop using it if there is no need for us to keep it. This is known as your right to be forgotten. There are legal and accountancy reasons why we will need to keep your data, but please do inform us if you think we are retaining or using your personal data incorrectly.


Our Privacy Policy will have been made clear to you at the point of collection when you signed up as a member of your BoB club/s. If you are an existing member we will have informed you of our Privacy Policy and you will have clicked to confirm that you accepted our Privacy Policy


Accessing and updating your personal & business data

It is your responsibility to maintain the accuracy of your information and ensure all your details, including but not limited to, name, address, title, phone number, e-mail address are kept up to date at all times. You must do this by updating your personal details by logging into the BoB clubs website.


Cookie Policy


Cookies enable us to identify your device, or you when you have logged in. We use cookies that are strictly necessary to enable you to move around the site or to provide certain basic features. We use cookies to enhance the functionality of the website by storing your preferences, for example. We also use cookies to help us to improve the performance of our website to provide you with a better user experience. 


We don’t sell the information collected by cookies, nor do we disclose the information to third parties, except where required by law (for example to government bodies and law enforcement agencies).


This website uses Google Analytics to provide entirely anonymous information about how many people visit it. This helps us to improve the website. If you don't accept cookies, you won't be included in these statistics from Google Analytics. You will still be able to use the website but the message will continue to appear at the top of the screen.


Where we store your Personal Data


All information you provide to us is stored on our secured server within the EEA. We only transfer data to countries outside the EEA in relation to provision of our membership services to members outside of the EEA. The laws in these countries may not provide you with the same protection as in the EEA; however, any third party referred to above outside of the EEA has agreed to abide by European levels of data protection in respect of the transfer, processing and storage of any personal data. If you are a member of a BoB Global groups outside the EEA, you agree to this transfer and storage. However, we will ensure that reasonable steps are taken to protect your data in accordance with this privacy notice.


As the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our site and any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.


We do not hold any sensitive payment card data in our database as this is held by PayPal who are therefore the data controller. We and all the 3rd party companies shown at the top of this page who operate BoB Global are covered by PayPal's PCI compliance.


When you were added as a member of your BoB Global grouos we generate a random number password which you should change at the eariest opportunity. The password enables you to access certain parts of our website and the BoB Global groups members only mobile phone App and you are responsible for keeping the password confidential. We ask you not to share a password with anyone.


Links to other websites


BoB Global groups may provide links to third party websites. Since we do not control those websites, we encourage you to review the privacy policies of those third party websites. Any information that is supplied on these sites will not be within our control and therefore we cannot be responsible for the privacy policies and practices of these 3rd parties

In the event of a data breach, we shall ensure that our obligations under applicable data protection laws are complied with where necessary.
